God too, is a planner, and the Perfect Unblemished Lamb of God – JESUS, God’s Son, was not only the sacrifice for mankind, He was God’s Best and Only PLAN for our Redemption. In fact before even one tree, one flower or one human was created, our God already knew this Plan and how it would unfold. If that wasn’t enough, through the pages of His Word, we also have the privilege of knowing it too!
Below, is a beautiful verse that speaks to the wonder of such a majestic blessing for those whom God loves.
I Peter 1:20 says, He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.
The truth of this verse helps us to see that JESUS was the Chosen ONE sent for us and He has always existed from the very beginning. So, if we dive deeper and read one chapter in it’s entirety, it will help us grasp the very meaning of this blog’s title, “Eternal”, in greater detail. Just one of “many” passages in the Bible which reveals the Truth of God, that JESUS was both, Fully God and Fully Man.
Please stop and take a few moments to read John Chapter 14 now.
It was while researching and studying this blog’s topic that I realized how amazing and limitless (this side of Heaven) is knowing all the ways of how much God Loves us. Yet, I encourage you, as you are reading this now, please know that this is only a glimpse of what the Disciple and Apostle of Jesus, John and many others, left us from their writings. Incredible tapestries woven verse by verse, inspired by God Himself, to map out a description of such an Eternity, by a Loving God. These cross referencing truths can be found page by page, from Genesis to Revelation.
In fact, if you look closely at the Gospel of John’s last chapter and verse, you will see something very special tucked inside… John 21:25 tells us, Jesus did many other things as well and if every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
A closing statement like this gives an author and poet like myself, a moment to applaud and just smile. My eyes moisten, as I can only guess how impossible a task it would be to document every fact and detail about the Son of the Living God – which is precisely why this verse really stood out to me.
Over the years and centuries those who have written hymns, songs, or other inspirational writings – have not been able to totally capture the awesome blessings of our God, when describing Him on a scroll, paper or a computer. Think about the countless times and ways when Jesus has worked through the lives of those HE loves from generation to generation, all the way up to this present time. Now, I don’t know about you but this makes my heart leap with joy and my spirit sing praises to God! Isn’t it so wonderful to know we will never know an end to God’s Love or Goodness both here on earth and in Heaven. Human stories only fail at keeping every record by quill or pen, of an Eternal God!
His Mercy and Grace is Everlasting!
My friend, as you have read the above verses hopefully you can see the Truth for yourself, and my question for you is this: Have you thought about this Eternal God? Have you written down or told others the endless things He has done and will do for you? One thing is for sure, we too, are Eternal and to spend time with God – means choosing JESUS, as God’s Perfect Plan for us.
