Over the past few months, this Blog has featured a few of the Books that I have written, and I have plans for more of these to be featured when that theme resumes again in February. However, for this month I was hoping for us to take a short pause, so we each can reflect on where God may have us in our walk with Him and where He may be leading us next.
Just Be…
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10
Now that we are several weeks into the beginning of this year, perhaps your thoughts still wander as you think on all the hard things that happened to you last year.
Maybe you feel that not much has changed and nowadays the weeks and months have blended into looking very similar and all seems the same ole, same ole. At least, that might be how it feels to you.
Honestly, you might be able to relate, like many friends and family around me – as well myself – believe that the last several years have felt like four seasons of winter.
So, here are a few ways to stop, reset, recalculate and focus solely on our relationship with the LORD to “Just BE…”
- Just BE in GOD’s Word… Let’s slow our routines down, and clear our schedules then dive deeply into God’s Word, and stay there for awhile. When we do He will reveal much to us that will fill our soul with JOY. The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130
- Just BE Soft in the Quiet… There is much about this world that is loud and overwhelming. We need to change our surroundings and listen intently for God’s Soft voice as it speaks to us through His Word directly to our spirit. When we do it will be time well spent with the God of the Universe. Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
- Just BE Safe in Worship… The Presence of GOD awaits us and this is always a wonderful place where our prayers and praises are heard by Him and this will blanket our heart. When we do it ushers us straight to the Heart of GOD for us. For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:10
- Just BE Simple and Share… It’s time for us to release whatever may be hindering us from sharing our story with others and help realign the chaos of this world with the Gospel and Truth of Jesus Christ. JESUS was The Sinless One who died on a Cross and paid the debt in full for all of our sins. He was buried and rose again after three days and is alive. Now is the time where we can join Him in His Kingdom work on earth, telling everyone of the HOPE that is within us. But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15
My friend, I don’t know about YOU, but thinking on these things helps me to see the Eternal Perspective of my life and has even inspired me to create a NEW area of ministry within the April Sky Ministries umbrella. I will share more about that over the next month or so. For now, I pray YOU have been softly encouraged, and that God will sweetly watch over you and your family as all of us take steps further into this NEW YEAR.
