Have you ever picked up a book that had such a great plot that you didn’t want to put it down?
Perhaps it was an adventure or romance novel. My favorite is mysteries and uncovering layers upon layers of exciting reveals about the characters and surprise twists at every turn. Books such as these usually end up being classics to say the least. However, if the writer fails to deliver the best ending possible – it can leave the reader feeling confused at most.
I should know – I am a writer and a poet to be more exact. I try to offer my readers a bit of nostalgia, mystery, and sweet surprises within its pages. It’s important to me that the reader understands they aren’t just reading a story but I do my best to write it in such a way that they can see themselves as part of the story too!
Did you know that as you read God’s Word, you can start just about anywhere and see yourself in HIS Story? If you don’t believe me, check it out and you will find that YOU and I are thought of from the beginning to the end. This is the GOODNESS of God!!
You see, God’s story exists to introduce “US” to Jesus’ Story and each time someone in the Bible chooses to acknowledge this in their life by receiving Jesus, something beautiful unfolds.
Accepting God’s Only Son and receiving Salvation that we desperately need but do not deserve, happens through Grace alone, by Faith alone in Christ alone. All these have nothing to do with our own merit, achievements, pedigrees or good intentions. Rather, Jesus steps into our life as HE becomes the Reason for “OUR” story. Soon our lives begin to change into more than they were before as the Holy Spirit empowers us way beyond what we can imagine.
One of the most interesting things about reading the Bible, is how the Spirit of God takes hold of our heart. It’s from this point on, we aren’t just the reader but the very one He has redeemed and given a purpose with hope.
