Are you using your talents for God?
We all have something special that we can do. Some people can sing, dance, write and the list goes on. People who are very artistic, creative and gifted in specific areas, can do so much with the platform they have been given. The question isÖ are YOU using your talents for God or for someone else?
We all want to display that specialty in our lives as bright moments illumine who we are and what we do, but is it us that shines or God? In our search for stardom or moment of recognition, we need to always give the Glory to God. This is us realizing who we are and who HE is.
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust
destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures
in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break
in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew
Ask yourself these questions:
Do you have a specific talent that can be traced all the way through your childhood?
Are you passionate about it becoming something you can use to reach others for God?
Do you have someone who can be honest and truthful with you about your talent?
Do you have someone who can celebrate with you, as well as comfort you through your journey?
Have you prayed to see how God wants you to use your talent?
Are you determined to reach stardom at any cost?
The way that you answer these questions will bring about a true search of where your motives lie when displaying your talents for others. The world will offer you fame, fortune and freedom to embrace your passion. However, be aware because the world also offers you a competition that can rock the very ground you are standing on and shift it away from where God wants to take you.
